Update 30/03/2020
While we are receiving collections every day from Royal Mail, we are currently experiencing volume related issues for collection of mail from our local mail centre, due to high numbers of their staff being absent relating to the corona virus. This has resulted in some mail ready for collection not being collected the same day, Pointbid is prioritizing mail that has been delayed and handing over Royal Mail as soon as capacity allows normally the following day.
Please be advised this will result in extended delivery lead times to some of your customers.
Pointbid are working with Royal Mail to try and improve this situation.

Update 25/03/2020
Further to our update 24th March having further considered developments over the last few days, Pointbid will reduce the cut off time for orders from 3:00pm to 12:00 midday.
Therefore it will be our aim to despatch orders received by 12:00midday the same day, again subject to continued support of the courier companies and Royal Mail. This action will be taken Monday 30th March.
As mentioned in the last update we do have a number of customers that supply the NHS, these customers WILL NOT be affected by the temporary change, cut off time for them will remain at 3:00pm.
Retail and Wholesale orders placed on day one by 12:00 midday will be completed subject to booking on or by day 3.
Please be assured this is a temporary measure and will be reviewed consistently along with any other measures we need to take, to ensure quality of service to both you and your customers.
If you do have any questions or queries relating to this action please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We wish you well and that you stay safe.
Update 24/03/2020
Pointbid wish to give our customers assurances that we intend to remain open with business as usual as some of our customers do supply essentials to the NHS, this is of course subject to the health of our employees, in addition to support from the courier companies and hauliers.
We would like to make you aware of some temporary changes that have occurred outside of our control :
- All main courier companies including DPD and Parcelforce while still offering same day delivery, have suspended the service guarantee.
- In addition they have also suspended guaranteed timed deliveries.
Pointbid are giving consideration to reduce the cut off times for the receipt of orders from 3:00pm to 12:00 midday, this will assist in our endeavour to ensure orders received on day 1 one by 12:00 midday will be despatched on day 1 via the customers chosen method of delivery.
We will separately inform you if we decide to take this action. If we decide to take this action it is likely this will take effect Monday 30th March.
For retail and wholesale orders- orders received day 1 will be despatched by day 3. This will take effect Friday 27th March.
If you do have any queries or questions regarding the above please don’t hesitate to contact us.
In the meantime we wish you well and that you stay safe.
